Brisbane area guide
The West
Indooroopilly, Chelmer, Graceville, St Lucia, Toowong, Kenmore
The densest concentration of private schools in the city, and the reason so many relocating families end up west without ever planning to. Nine well-known campuses sit within about six kilometres of each other along the western river bend.

Lifestyle
Big trees, river bends, rowing sheds and the university. Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is the practical hub; the Graceville and Chelmer streets around it are some of the prettiest in Brisbane.
Housing
Grand Queenslanders in Chelmer and Graceville, a broad mix in Indooroopilly and Toowong, and larger family homes with space in Kenmore and Chapel Hill.
Getting around
Fifteen to twenty-five minutes to the CBD by train on the Ipswich line. Coronation Drive and Moggill Road are the two roads to test in peak hour.
Schools
Brisbane Boys' College, St Peters Lutheran, Ambrose Treacy, St Aidan's, Stuartholme, Sherwood/Corinda state schools and more — nearly all served by school buses.
Chelmer, Graceville, Sherwood and parts of Indooroopilly hold real flood risk. Insurance quotes before offers, always.
