Newer amenity: Orion Springfield, Brookwater golf, Daisy Hill forest, and school communities that are the social centre for most families out here.
Housing
New or near-new four-bedroom family homes at prices that would buy a two-bedroom cottage inner city. Brookwater and Rochedale are the premium pockets.
Getting around
Springfield to the CBD is around forty minutes by train; Rochedale and Shailer Park are twenty-five to thirty-five minutes by car outside peak, longer in it.
Schools
West Moreton Anglican, Ipswich Grammar, Ipswich Girls' Grammar, St Edmund's, Redeemer Lutheran and John Paul College all sit in these corridors.
If your children are enrolled at an inner-city school, this corridor turns into two long drives a day. Test it before you buy.
